We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist with strong expertise in the German market to support and scale our HR operations. This role will act as a key partner to the business, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and a high-quality employee experience across the full employee lifecycle.

Germany is the primary focus, while exposure to Poland or other European markets is considered a strong advantage.


Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (hire to exit) with a strong focus on German employment regulations
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee queries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Support and guide employees and managers on HR policies, processes, and best practices
  • Ensure full compliance with German labor law, social security, and tax regulations
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on legal and compliance-related matters
  • Monitor legislative changes and proactively implement updates to HR practices
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Payroll, and Accounting teams
  • Act as an HR partner to business leaders, supporting decision-making and operational needs
  • Work cross-functionally within a global and scaling organization
  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll inputs and coordination with payroll providers
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries
  • Maintain high standards of HR data accuracy and documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement of HR processes to ensure scalability and efficiency
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of global HR processes and systems
  • Support standardization and automation across HR operations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR Generalist / HR Operations experience, with strong focus on Germany
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • German labor law
    • Payroll, taxation, and social security
    • Full employee lifecycle management
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Payroll)
  • Background in international or scaling companies is a strong advantage
  • Exposure to Poland or other European markets is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across different levels of the organization
  • Fluent German and English (mandatory)
