Under the authority of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation Government Chiefs and Council and under the direct supervision of the Director, Environment, the Environmental Technical Advisor is responsible for working collaboratively with YKDFN community members, YKDFN staff, and other government and regulatory representatives to coordinate and facilitate YKDFN participation in the Giant Mine Remediation (GMR) project environmental assessment, and other activities related to Giant Mine including but not limited to long-term monitoring. The position provides advice and recommendations on environmental and technical issues surrounding this project and as required, on other environmental assessments. This position is located in the Ndilo office, Monday to Friday, with visits to Dettah.

~1 min read- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in biology, geography, environmental science, environmental studies, natural resource management or a related field, plus three years direct related experience is required.
