Summer Learning Academy - Camp Director

In partnership with the Boston Public Schools, Summer Learning/5th Quarter Learning is a 5-week Summer Learning Academy which runs from July 6th- August 7th, 2026. The goal of the program is to combat summer learning loss while at the same time providing some summer camp fun through enrichment activities such as STEM, Arts & Crafts, Sports, and weekly walking trips. Children participate in Summer Learning from 9am to 1230pm daily, while the entirety of the camp day runs from 8am to 5pm. The Summer Learning Camp Director is responsible for oversight of the program from 8am to 5pm. This is a seasonal, full time, 5 week position.
 
 Under the direction of the Regional Director, the Camp Director is primarily responsible for administering the management, policies, procedures, and curriculum of the assigned program. The Camp Director is responsible for operating a Summer Day Camp from July 6th to August 7th. Additional responsibilities include ensuring a developmentally appropriate program that ensures the healthy progression of social-emotional, cognitive, and motor skills for children in compliance with State regulations. The Camp Director ensures the connection of program activities to Y core focus areas of Healthy Living, Youth Development, and Social Responsibility.
