Youth Opportunity is a nationally recognized leader in residential and behavioral health treatment for at-risk youth. Crestview Youth Academy in Crestview, Florida, is a secure Youth Academy serving males ages 13 to 17, delivering trauma-informed care across mental health and substance abuse needs. The program combines clinical therapy, education, restorative justice, therapeutic recreation, and life skills training. Youth typically remain in care based on individualized goals, participating in individual, family, and group therapy; victim impact awareness; vocational and pre-vocational preparation; and enrichment activities such as art, music, and recreation. Small group living units and licensed dietitian-managed meals support emotional stabilization and reintegration planning.
About the Role
Youth Opportunity Investments is seeking a Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational functionality of the Crestview Youth Academy campus. This position is responsible for managing facility maintenance operations, supervising maintenance staff, coordinating repairs and projects, and ensuring the building and grounds remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
The Physical Plant Manager plays an important role in maintaining a safe environment for youth and staff while ensuring the facility remains compliant with safety, health, and inspection standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of facility buildings, grounds, and parking areas
- Supervise physical plant staff and coordinate daily maintenance tasks
- Manage facility improvement, renovation, and repair projects
- Conduct routine building inspections and address maintenance issues proactively
- Ensure safety and security systems are functioning properly, including building monitoring and access control systems
- Track and maintain fire, safety, and health inspection requirements and coordinate corrective actions when necessary
- Work with program leadership to identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs
- Manage contractor and vendor work related to facility operations, equipment, and grounds
- Maintain documentation related to facility maintenance, repairs, and inspections
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience directly related to facility maintenance, building operations, or similar work. Project management experience is preferred.
Skills:

Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company auto insurance requirements
- Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment screening requirements
Physical Demands
• Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable
• Able to actively engage with youth, participate in physical interventions, and transport youth or staff as needed
• Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state
• Must pass evaluation of physical techniques and certification exams.
