Senior Software Engineer (React / Node.js)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on a project in the green energy industry.

You will be part of a distributed team developing new technologies to solve real business problems. Our client has been empowering some of the biggest energy suppliers to better serve millions of customers and wants to power a world where net zero is within everyone’s reach, by building the platform that will accelerate a sustainable, affordable, and resilient energy transition. 

We are looking for someone with good communication skills, ideally with experience making decisions, being proactive, used to building software from scratch, and with good attention to detail.

  Designing and delivering scalable frontend features using TypeScript and React for large-scale applications used by both customers and internal teams.

  Taking ownership of features from discovery through to release, contributing to architectural decisions and evolving patterns as the codebase grows.

  Building shared components and tooling while writing well-tested, high-quality code.

• →

  Collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to shape intuitive user experiences on top of complex systems.

  Continuously improving performance, scalability, and overall quality across the platform.

• →

  5+ years of production experience building frontend applications with TypeScript and React.

• →

  Hands-on experience with Node.js. 

• →

  A strong understanding of component architecture, state management, and patterns for scaling React applications.

  A track record of delivering meaningful features or systems with a degree of ownership.

• →

  A focus on performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability in everything you build.

• →

  Experience with end-to-end testing in modern frontend environments.

• →

  The confidence to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to technical discussions.

• →

  A genuine interest in solving real customer problems, not just shipping code.

• Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure, ideally AWS.

• Familiarity with Monorepo tooling such as Nx or Turborepo.
