Senior Product Designer (6 month fixed-term contract)

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll take ownership of complex design challenges from discovery through to delivery, working as an individual contributor alongside Product, Engineering and Design leaders.

You’ll combine customer insight with exceptional design craft to turn complex problems into beautifully simple experiences. As Zip explores the opportunities presented by Agentic Commerce, you’ll also experiment with AI enabled experiences, intelligent automation and emerging interaction patterns to understand where they can create meaningful value for our customers.

• Lead end to end design across multiple product domains, from discovery and experimentation through to detailed design and delivery
• Create high quality visual and interaction design, bringing ideas to life through rapid prototyping and beautifully crafted customer experiences
• Use customer research, insights and experimentation to inform product strategy and translate abstract ideas into tangible experiences
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to balance customer needs, business priorities and technical feasibility
• Help evolve Zip’s design systems, principles and experience standards, championing accessibility and exceptional design craft
• Explore emerging AI enabled experiences, intelligent automation and new interaction patterns, rapidly prototyping ideas that have the potential to improve the customer experience
• Lead by example, sharing your expertise and helping strengthen design capability across the broader team

• Experience designing complex, customer facing digital products within fintech, payments, technology or another high scale, customer focused environment.
• Strong experience designing across both native mobile apps and web products.
• Deep capability across product, interaction and visual design, supported by a portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI, motion design, accessibility and scalable design systems.
• The ability to turn complex customer problems into simple, intuitive and beautifully crafted experiences.
• Strong storytelling and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering closely with Product and Engineering to align thinking and deliver high quality customer outcomes.
• Curiosity and hands on experience exploring AI enabled experiences, intelligent automation or emerging interaction models.
• A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow
