Job Description

Account Executive

Location: Nationwide Remote

Company

At CodeScience, Inc., we help companies build & deploy Solutions on the Salesforce Platform. Established in 2008, we were a founding member of the Salesforce Product Development Organization (PDO) program, and are the only company to achieve the Master Navigator PDO designation. We’re pretty proud of the hard work it took us to get here! Our client’s success is rooted in CodeScience’s ability to support them through every stage of their lifecycle from ideation to deployment. We also believe in having fun while doing it.

Position

CodeScience is seeking a Business Development/Account Executive. As a leading provider of Salesforce solutions, we are looking for someone prepared to collaborate with potential customers on the design and delivery of their complex Salesforce application development projects. We’re looking for the real deal.

Ideally, you already have experience selling professional services, or have a background as a sales engineer, software consultant, or product manager with experience in selling Professional Services. Did we mention that we are Masters of Professional Services?

In this position, you will be responsible for both business development activities and managing the sales process. Our success depends on you thinking creatively, building a reputation with our partners, owning client relationships, and closing opportunities. This is a role for someone who is both curious and passionate.

CodeScience is looking for someone who will bring the confidence and enthusiasm we have for our organization to the market. You will need to be able to tease information from people and be willing to determine a solution from several possible alternatives faster than a cheetah with a jetpack! You’ll need verbal and written dexterity to describe your ideas to both geeks and luddites. You’ll need to be a CodeScientist!

Success Predictors

  • 5+ years of experience selling professional services and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Possess exceptional communication skills
  • Know the Salesforce platform like the back of your hand, and knowledge of other development platforms is great too
  • Wake up every morning thrilled to create new business because you believe in what you are selling and you love a good challenge
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and make the golden connection
  • Have a deep loathing of cubicles and value flexibility over the 9-to-5 beige office experience

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Polished communication with clients ranging from entry to C-level clients
  • Collaborate across the organization to drive the entire sales lifecycle, from pipeline generation to close
  • Manage the negotiation and contracting process with new and existing clients
  • Have fluency in one or more industry verticals, including Financial Services, Health & Life Sciences, Retail, High Tech, and/or Public Sector
  • Create and track Pipeline and Sales Stage progression in Salesforce
  • Develop relationships with Account Executives, Technical Architects and Sales/Solution Engineers at Salesforce (They’re cool, don’t worry!)
  • Know your competition
  • Maintain a long-range vision of developing markets
  • Geek out on new tech and market developments
  • Partner with the architect resources across your sales pipeline

Experience

Required

  • Experience selling SDLC and Professional Services
  • A solid understanding of the 4 P’s: Product, Placement, Price and Promotion
  • Proficient in using a CRM tool, preferably Salesforce
  • Technical exposure or background, preferably Salesforce.com experience

Preferred

  • Active with industry and sales-related organizations
  • Involved in professional development, enhancing skills
