Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Authorizations/Referrals Operations Expert to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Epic systems and healthcare operations to support and optimize the authorizations and referrals processes within hospital settings. You will work closely with client teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and ensure seamless integration of operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Analyze and enhance current authorizations and referrals processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Epic Systems Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge of Epic systems to optimize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and provide training and support to client teams.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with hospital administrators, clinical staff, and IT teams to ensure alignment and integration of processes.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of authorizations and referrals operations.
- Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with relevant regulations and standards, including HIPAA and other healthcare guidelines.
- Training & Development: Provide training and guidance to client teams on best practices and the use of Epic systems for authorizations and referrals.
- Travel: Participate in on-site visits as needed, approximately 10-15% travel.
Qualifications:
- Epic Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Epic systems, specifically in authorizations and referrals management.
- Healthcare Expertise: Strong understanding of healthcare operations, particularly in hospital settings.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex processes and data, and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Remote Work: Comfortable working remotely, with flexibility to work PST hours.
