Role Overview :

As a Community Manager at Jimdo, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant and engaged community of users. You’ll be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with Jimdo’s diverse user base, providing support, facilitating discussions, and driving advocacy for the platform. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with various teams within the company to improve user experience and enhance brand loyalty.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with Jimdo users across various channels, including forums, social media platforms, and community events, to foster meaningful interactions.
  • Content Creation: Generate engaging content, such as blog and social media posts, to educate and inspire the Jimdo community on best practices, new features, and success stories.
  • Moderation: Monitor community discussions on our social media platforms (primarily Facebook) to identify multiplier opportunities, and ensure compliance with community guidelines.
  • Advocacy and Evangelism: Identify and cultivate relationships with passionate Jimdo users, brand ambassadors, and influencers to amplify positive word-of-mouth and drive user acquisition.
  • Event Planning: Organize and participate in community events, workshops, webinars, and meetups to connect with users, share knowledge, and strengthen the Jimdo community.

What you bring to the table:

  • Fluent in German and English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with users and build relationships.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms, forums, and community management tools.
  • Passion for empowering individuals and small businesses.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal experience as an active member of an online community.
  • Bonus if you have experience as a freelancer or any other side hustle.
