Contract Specific Information

We create comprehensive courses tailored for employees aspiring for tech careers. The Content Developer UI/UX Design will be responsible for creating the course material, which includes lessons for live lectures, assessments, labs, projects, and case studies. This is a part-time contract position. The contract will run about 3-4 months. We anticipate about 5-10 hours of work per week. This is subject to change based on content needs and consultant capacity; these decisions will be made by Correlation One (C1) staff and communicated well in advance.

Your impact (summary)

As a Content Developer UI/UX Design, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational content for the Amazon UI/UX Designer program, empowering learners with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in UI/UX Designer roles. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of training provided and ultimately, the success of aspiring designers. You will be responsible for drafting and writing lessons in the form of contextual business case studies, self-paced labs, and/or homework assignments in order to create engaging and industry-relevant curricula. 

A day in the life (task and responsibilities)

  • Review and advise on the proposed topic outline for the course to ensure the correct concepts are included. 
  • Develop business cases, lessons, and other class materials to support the curriculum.
  • Audit, and iterate on, the current content library of cases, ensuring that the material stays up-to-date and industry-relevant.
  • Collaborate with other content developers to peer review lessons, leaving feedback for improvements.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the C1 Content Developer to ensure the team is on track to prepare all content and related materials, answer questions, discuss any relevant decisions, etc. 
  • Deploy content on C1’s learning platform (training will be provided).

Your expertise (qualifications)

  • 3+ years of experience in UI/UX Design, Web Design, Product Design, User Research, or similar roles
  • 3+ years of experience in content development, teaching, or training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology or Cognitive Science, Computer Science or Information Technology, or related field
  • Expertise in prototyping tools like Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or InVision
  • Expertise in portfolio design
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and back-end technologies such as databases and APIs highly preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with tools for data visualization, such as Tableau, and Design Thinking processes  
  • Strong command of the English language, both oral and written
  • Ability to perform industry and domain research and incorporate new topics into content
  • Passionate about improving processes, self improvement, and research
  • Comfortable working remotely, independently, and self-motivated to succeed

Where you are

  • This role is remote and can be located anywhere that is compatible with the EST time zone. We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.

Compensation

  • An estimated range for this position is $50-$60 per hour.
