Job Description
BASE SALARY: $70,000 – $85,000USD per year, paid Bi-Monthly
MUST HAVE: Expertise editing monetized B2C content focused on technical products (VPNs, Ad Blockers, Password Managers, etc.)
HOURS: Must be comfortable working East Coast hours starting no later than 9:00 AM
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years as a B2C digital content editor with long-form (2,000+ word) article production of 10 articles per week, mastery of SEO best practices, and an eagerness to learn and contribute to a highly collaborative team.
What We are Looking for
As an Editor at All About Cookies, you’ll be responsible for crafting high-quality B2C content that helps millions of readers make smarter, easier decisions about digital security and consumer tech solutions monthly. (This is NOT a technical writing position.) You’ll use your passion and expertise in topics like VPNs, ad blockers, and antivirus software to research, brief, edit, and oversee the production of content including reviews, rankings, and educational articles. You’ll also use your understanding of SEO best practices to ensure all our content is optimized for ranking and monetization.
You will work closely with freelance and in-house writers to mentor them on writing best practices while providing constructive feedback. You should have strong writing skills in the event that content needs to be substantially rewritten or replaced, and feel comfortable researching and testing a wide range of digital security products. You should be comfortable working with basic HTML in a CMS. Knowledge of SEO best practices, including keyword research and on-page optimization, is ideal.
How You will Help the Team
- Create/edit at least 10 assignment briefs, reviews, rankings, or educational stories per week
- Ensure content is accurate and clear to the reader while following SEO best practices
- Demonstrate subject-matter expertise across digital security and consumer technology topics
- Work with, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to writers ensuring they deliver their best work
- Ensure all content adheres to our style, sourcing, and compliance guidelines
- Identify trends and timely industry insights to help shape content and PR strategies
- Serve as an ambassador of All About Cookies as needed
- Grow and foster the All About Cookies brand as a top destination for digital security and tech recommendations and information
Who’s a good fit? Someone who already has…
- 3-5 years of experience in a digital editor role
- Expertise in digital security and technology topics, particularly online privacy, antivirus, and internet
- Experience editing monetized B2C content
- Expertise writing and editing reviews, rankings, and educational stories
- Experience writing and/or editing quality, high-performing SEO content
- An ability to work and make decisions independently
- A clear understanding of how search engine optimization works
- A desire to learn and adjust as business needs constantly evolve
- Experience using a CMS to build online content
- Basic knowledge of HTML is a plus

- Culture & Values Interview lasting ~90 minutes where we will align your personal and professional values with Launch Potato’s. We also will cover items we would need to prepare an offer including references, compensation target, start dates, etc.
- Offer extension lasting ~30 minutes where we will walk you through a total compensation and rewards document, outline the onboarding process, and answer any last minute questions you may have.
Total Rewards & Compensation
Base salary is set according to market rates for the nearest major metro and varies based on Launch Potato’s Levels Framework. Your compensation package includes a base salary, profit-sharing bonus, and competitive benefits. Launch Potato is a performance-driven company, which means once you are hired, future increases will be based on company and personal performance, not annual cost of living adjustments.
