Job Description

The DRE is responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and release of powertrain systems. Other responsibilities will include development and validation of assigned components and communicating technical product status and competitor benchmarking to management. Individual will be responsible for coordinating the packaging with all adjacent department. Will be responsible for working with virtual validation groups to ensure that the CAE scorecard is met as well as manufacturing feasibility. Will be responsible for maintaining and updating DVP&R, DFMEA. Also responsible to support & manage suppliers for quality actions and VO activities. Engineer needs to support meeting throughout NA work hours and work closely with local engineering teams, Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, program science teams & PDO with iterative models to align with all packaging, functional objectives and system requirements.

This position is to work permanently remotely with availability to travel occasionally, all candidates must reside and be legally authorized to work in Mexico.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electric, Electro-mechanical, etc).
  • Previous experience: Preferably 3-5 years in automotive industry as Product Engineer or product development-related position.
  • Design experience in the following components: electroonic modules support brackets / internal combustion engine / electric motor / power electronic accesories components / internal and sorrounding components from internal combustion engine.
  • Experience with Catia V5, NX, and Teamcenter Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans
  • Availability to travel sporadically
  • Advanced English (B2/C1).
