About the job
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to drive the centralization and standardization of integration efforts across the organization. As the Director of Enterprise Application Integration Engineering, you will spearhead the development and implementation of a robust integration strategy ,establishing COE ensuring seamless connectivity between various systems and applications.
This role is pivotal within our IT organization for leading a team of engineers to design, build, and maintain innovative integration solutions across various enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise application technical development & integration technologies, and will be able to drive the strategic direction and execution of projects that enhance our operational efficiencies. You will build strong relationships with senior leaders across various functions and champion the centralization of integrations from disparate shadow IT teams.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive integration strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for streamlining and optimizing integration processes, fostering collaboration between cross-functional teams.
- Integration Architecture and Governance, COE: Establish and maintain an enterprise-wide integration architecture, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, standards, and governance frameworks via COE. Implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability of integration solutions.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of integration engineers and architects. Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional growth. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
- Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Continuously evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies. Oversee the implementation and adoption of new technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and minimizing disruptions.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Collaborate with vendors, partners, and third-party service providers to ensure successful integration of their solutions with the company’s ecosystem. Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Integration Evangelism: Promote the importance of centralized integration efforts across the organization. Educate stakeholders on the benefits of standardized integration practices, fostering buy-in and adoption.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Establish metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of integration solutions. Continuously monitor and optimize performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or issues.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that integration solutions adhere to relevant industry regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements. Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and mitigate risks.
- Budget Management and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the platform & engineering team’s budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost optimization while aligning with strategic objectives.
- Expansion and Scalability :Identify opportunities to expand the scope of the engineering team to manage all engineering components.Develop scalable solutions to accommodate future growth and technological advancements.
- Foster a Culture of Innovation; Encourage stakeholders to share their ideas and suggestions for leveraging new technologies or improving existing processes.Establish a framework or process for evaluating and potentially incorporating innovative solutions proposed by stakeholders, while maintaining appropriate governance and security controls.
- As one of the pioneering senior IT leaders in India, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong sense of community within the IT team. Additionally, you will explore potential opportunities to serve as a site leader for the CDO team, fostering growth and collaboration.

Required:
- Minimum of 14 years of experience in software development team , enterprise applications integration, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in leading and managing cross-functional teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Possesses comprehensive expertise in integration technologies, architectures, and methodologies such as ESB, API gateways, and data integration platforms like MuleSoft, OCI, and Workato, with a focus on data ingestion.
- Experienced in SaaS technical development using tools such as Oracle Cloud ERP/EPM, Zuora, Workday, SFDC and Anaplan etc with a strong focus on AWS technologies.
- Ability to work multi-functionally with a variety of business and technical team members. Outstanding project management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize technologies.
- A skilled influencer and evangelist, proficient at cultivating relationships with senior leadership and adept at navigating diverse teams and technologies.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Extensive knowledge of various integration patterns, including real-time, event-based, bidirectional etc.
- Strong understanding of API management and the software development lifecycle.
- In-depth expertise in architectural principles such as SOA and Microservices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in vendor and partner management, contract negotiation, and SLA management.
- Proficiency in project management, resource planning, and budget allocation.

- Experienced in driving large transformation programs, delivering within tight timelines and budget constraints.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including UK shifts.
