JOB SUMMARY

As the Diversity Manager at Stearns Bank, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion across all facets of our organization. Working closely with senior leadership and HR teams, you will develop and implement initiatives and programs that promote diversity, foster inclusivity, and drive cultural competence throughout the company.

Starting annual salary of $119,000.00. Employment offers will be dependent upon the selected candidate’s relevant qualifications and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement comprehensive DE&I strategies aligned with the company’s values, goals, and business objectives.
  • Program Implementation: Lead the execution of DE&I initiatives, programs, and activities aimed at fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, including training sessions, workshops, employee resource groups (ERGs), mentorship programs, and cultural celebrations.
  • Talent Acquisition: Partner with HR teams to implement strategies for recruiting, hiring, and retaining a diverse workforce, ensuring equitable practices throughout the talent acquisition process.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, including surveys, focus groups, and feedback mechanisms, to assess the effectiveness of DE&I efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Education and Training: Develop and deliver training programs and resources on DE&I topics, unconscious bias, cultural competence, and inclusive leadership to increase awareness and understanding across the organization.
  • Community Outreach: Establish partnerships and collaborations with external organizations, community groups, and educational institutions to support DE&I initiatives and promote social responsibility and community engagement.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the impact and effectiveness of DE&I initiatives, providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Policy Development: Review and recommend updates to company policies, procedures, and practices to ensure alignment with DE&I principles and best practices, advocating for fair and inclusive policies that promote diversity and equity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk use hands to twist, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, such as computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler, telephone, staple puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Diversity & Inclusion, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Experience in DE&I roles within corporate environments, preferably in the financial services or fintech industry.
  • Deep understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts, trends, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing DE&I strategies and initiatives that drive measurable results. Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a commitment to fostering a culture of belonging and respect.
