The Role:
The Head of Strategic Development and Delivery at Oviva will work with senior leaders to identify, develop, and implement strategic initiatives focused on new service growth opportunities. You will foster partnerships within the team and negotiate deals with healthcare partners (such as the NHS) to integrate Oviva into their services. You will lead the identification, accreditation and support the launch of new services via the NHS Right to Choose Framework. You will present detailed commercial and strategic business plans for executive approval. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with legal requirements and understand market and competitor dynamics to drive Oviva’s strategy.
You will work closely with:
- The UK Commercial Team
- The wider UK commercial team (Partnerships, Accounts Management, Clinical, Legal and Marketing) to ensure critical targets and deliverables are aligned.
- Partnering with Product to understand Oviva services and tools.
- Liaise with NHS Stakeholders (Commissioners)
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with senior leaders internally and externally across multiple functions to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
- Act as the strategic lead within the team for Patient Choice Right to Choose, fostering partnerships with peers, managers, and the leadership team.
Partnership Development:
- Identify opportunities and negotiate deals with healthcare partners, referrers and commissioners, to provide Oviva as part of their services.
P&L Strategy:
- Own the UK P&L and pricing strategy for our Patient Choice Pathways.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including Clinical Services, Product and Marketing, to ensure alignment and success.
Market Expansion:
- Lead research efforts to launch additional Patient Choice accredited Pathways and develop strategies for commercial growth through revenue generation.
- Present fully developed business plans and financial models to the MD and UK Leadership Team for approval and progression.
Legal and Compliance:
- Work closely with our Legal team to ensure our commercial strategy aligns with country-specific requirements.
Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Develop a strong understanding of the market, competitors, and how the Patient Choice pipeline and reimbursement impact on Oviva’s strategy.
What we are looking for you to bring:
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to develop and present business plans and financial models.
- Highly proficient with Excel
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build partnerships with external stakeholders.
- exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels within the organisation.
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Education:
- Proven experience in strategic leadership roles, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Ability to work at pace in response to business need
