Job Purpose

The HR Generalist will help establish, drive, and strengthen the Numotion culture through our employees and leaders by developing and cultivating best practices in the HR function. While partnering with Field (Service, Operations, Commercial) business leaders, this individual will utilize their knowledge and expertise in leadership development, talent management, coaching, change management and employee relations to align the HR strategy and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively and provide day-to-day coaching, guidance to Field leaders and employees on HR topics including employee relations, performance management, employee compensation, employee engagement, change management, survey results, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Manage and execute appropriate performance management actions including performance improvement plans, employee relations matters, and provide coaching to employees and leaders consistent with the Numotion culture.
  • Lead investigations and the resolution of workplace concerns in a timely manner by providing advisement and directions in accordance with company practice, law, and/or regulations.
  • Support and work with businesses to understand current and future goals and trends that may impact workforce needs and initiatives.
  • Provide leadership training on employee relations topics, performance management procedures, and procedural updates.
  • Provide leaders with interpretation and guidance regarding HR policies, practices, as well as, legal and compliance matters to ensure fair and consistent application. Counsel and advise on the administration of specific employment laws including federal and state labor laws.
  • Track and interpret data to proactively identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvements.
  • Review exit interview information to provide analysis on potential retention issues. Apply appropriate course of action related to results.
  • Collaborate with COE’s and organizational partners to meet business needs.
  • Continually monitor processes and procedures to drive efficiency and consistency.
  • Work collaboratively, on processing terminations, exit interviews, reductions-in-force, and the unemployment claim management process.
  • Assist with inorganic growth opportunities such as acquisition integrations.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform the job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion’s mission.
  • Adhere to employee or customer confidentiality and comply with Numotion’s policies and federal regulations.
  • Always provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.

Required Qualifications, Skills, And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or other related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience within human resources function.
  • Successful experience in leading employee relations issue resolution including advising management on performance and disciplinary issues.
  • Prior experience conducting workplace investigations.
  • Demonstrated experience using independent judgment and discretion in complex situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to independently organize work, balance multiple priorities and manage a variety of projects in a high-volume work environment with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Competencies And Qualifications

  • Work in Eastern or Central time zone
  • Prior experience supporting non-exempt and exempt employees (i.e. technicians, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, CCP)
  • Strong critical thinking skills; ability to anticipate information needed and see situations end to end.
  • Possess excellent written communication and the proven ability to work across various departments and levels in an organization.
  • Understanding of assessing data to help drive solutions.
  • Proven experience with organizational, planning and project management abilities and skills.
  • Experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
