You will be joining a team of Client Platform Engineers dedicated to delivering enterprise-level client platform services, development, support, and client enablement for a globally distributed user base. What you’ll do

We are seeking an IT Client Platform Engineer with a focus on Linux management and security to ensure a seamless End User Computing (EUC) experience. In this role, you will address complex hardware, software, and security challenges, collaborating closely with the Enterprise Security, Engineering, and IT Operations teams to resolve security, operational, and user experience issues on a global scale.

  • Solve complex Linux OS configuration problems
  • Provide design, implementation and operational support for the Linux End User Computing (EUC) Platform
  • Seek guidance from the team when needed
  • Be flexible and available for after hours support
  • Assist the team with macOS, Windows, and Linux platform management
  • Provide thoughtful feedback on asks and requirements for new integrations
  • Work collaboratively across geographical and team boundaries to solve problems
  • Work in a team environment
  • Create and update technical documentation
  • Help make your team and cohort teams lives better

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  • 2+ years of proven work experience in a systems administration role
  • 2+ years of proven work experience in a systems integration role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS management platforms
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, Golang, and/or Rust
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices management platforms and software development best practices
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on deployment failures and implement solutions
  • Experience with serverless application development, observation, and deployment methods
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, DevOps, and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical guidance, both written and verbal
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, or Ubuntu Landscape
  • Experience with Ansible and Linux system administration
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks
