We are looking for a Lead People Business Partner to support client groups across the clinical organization, including Clinical Operations and our Clinical Leadership Team. In this role, you will act as a strategic thought partner to clinical managers and leadership, helping to bring business and HR projects and initiatives through to fruition for the clinical network. You will be responsible for managing relationships within the Brightside Health clinical network across multiple geographic locations. You will partner closely with Compliance, Quality, Network Operations, Talent Acquisition, and People Operations to plan and deliver HR programs and services to our clinical business. You will operate as a trusted advisor and business partner to functional leaders serving as the expert on people and organizational issues. You will need to be comfortable navigating challenges in the tele-mental health services space and be comfortable in a fast-paced and operationally rigorous environment.

What you’ll be doing as a Lead People Business Partner:

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to clinical leaders focused on a transformational talent agenda designed to support, develop, engage and retain the best clinicians in the industry
  • Understand team strategies and how to develop and engage the best clinicians, including therapists and psychiatrists
  • Work closely with our data and network operations team to understand our network data, how the network is performing, and determine initiatives to course correct
  • Help to establish and communication clinician expectations for performance, ensuring folks are practicing at the top of their licenses
  • Partner closely with clinical leadership to build management structure and roadmap that would scale as the network grows
  • Create and manage clinical compensation programs, incentives, and differentials
  • Consistently measures effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs to ensure they are delivering desired outcomes
  • Help foster a culture of innovation, in an environment that requires high levels of scalability, security and reliability
  • Serve as HR / People Team liaison for the clinical network; establish new and more efficient processes for handling team member inquiries
  • Provide daily support to managers with employee support, development, and retention issues which may include: review cycles, compensation analysis, coaching, performance management, training, career pathing, organizational / management structures, and special project assistance
  • Have executive presence and strong communication skills to partner with senior levels of management, including presentation skills
  • Strong collaboration skills within and outside of HR


  • 5+ years of successful business partnership at the senior-manager level, with proven success in linking HR strategies to the business
  • Experience working with different employee and team member populations, including corporate, clinical, 1099, and W2 arrangements
  • Preference for experience in the healthcare (health-tech, clinical, or services) or technology industries working in progressive HR models. Multi-company experience is strongly preferred
  • Create, manage, maintain, and evaluate medium to enterprise-wide projects/initiatives with minimal supervision
  • Experience in working effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Hands on approach willing to roll up sleeves to deliver results
  • Successful implementation of operational and strategic clinical programs and processes across a dispersed region
  • Experience pulling and analyzing HR data insights using our HRIS (Rippling experience preferred)
  • Strong background in contractual language updates, monthly clinician/provider W-2 orientations, and additional trainings
  • Extremely organized and operational approach to moving through projects, especially with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to assess an organization, identify gaps, and develop solutions
  • Possess strong influencing and interpersonal skills, honed in a demanding and high performing work environment
