About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented music producer to collaborate on recording and enhancing their original songs. The artist has written lyrics and has a general vision for the instrumentation but requires expertise to fully realise their pop or alt-pop sound, drawing inspiration from artists like Billie Eilish and Mitski. This short-term project offers an exciting opportunity for a junior to mid-level producer to showcase their skills and potentially establish an ongoing working relationship with the artist.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the artist to understand their vision and musical style
• Arrange and produce instrumentation that complements the existing lyrics and melodies
• Record and mix vocals and instruments to create a polished, professional sound
• Provide creative input on song arrangements and production elements

Requirements

• Experience in music production, particularly in pop and alt-pop genres
• Familiarity with the musical styles of artists like Billie Eilish and Mitski
• Proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs) and music production software
• Strong ear for arrangement, mixing, and sound design
• Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively
