Scope of the Role
We seek a talented and dynamic Public Relations Coordinator to join our marketing team. As a key player in our company, you will oversee our media communications, including drafting press releases, organising PR events, and maintaining solid relationships with clients and stakeholders. We are looking for someone with a solution-oriented mindset, capable of handling media-related crises calmly and efficiently. A successful PR Coordinator in this role will possess exceptional communication skills and a deep understanding of brand management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic PR Planning: Develop and execute public relations strategies to uphold and enhance the brand’s image and reputation.
- Content Creation: Craft and distribute engaging press releases, promotional social media content, and fact sheets that effectively communicate our brand message.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to secure coverage and amplify our brand presence.
- Event Coordination: Organize and manage press conferences and public events and coordinate interview requests to ensure seamless execution and high-impact visibility.
- Campaign Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to plan and implement campaigns to boost brand awareness and drive positive media attention.
- Performance Analysis: Assess the effectiveness of public relations campaigns and prepare comprehensive reports for management to evaluate impact and areas for improvement.
- Media List Management: Keep an updated press list of key media contacts, influencers, and industry professionals to facilitate efficient communication.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned to support the overall objectives of the PR and marketing teams.
Requirements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse audiences. (Must have)
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. (Must have)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations or a similar role. (Must have)
- Expertise: Deep understanding of public relations best practices, brand management, and media strategies. (Must have)
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Adaptability: Be open to feedback and adapt to changing circumstances and strategies.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the beauty industry is highly preferred, as is a solid grasp of current trends and industry practices.
