General
What we do ๐ชต
Our mission is to empower building materials suppliers with great technology. There are over $1,000,000,000,000 of building materials bought in the US every year, and many of these transactions happen in on-prem point-of-sale systems. We want to bring these transactions online, enabling better experiences for contractors and homeowners alike.
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated contractor to assist with the incorporation process across five U.S. states following a recent large-scale hiring round. This role involves coordinating with various state agencies, managing the necessary paperwork, and ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Incorporation Coordination: Work with state agencies to establish incorporation in Colorado, Illinois, Maine, Texas, and Washington.
Colorado:
Secure Colorado Unemployment Insurance Account Number, current tax rates, and ensure proper setup for State Withholding and Paid Family Leave.
Illinois:
Obtain Illinois Unemployment Insurance Account Number and Taxpayer Identification Number. Verify current SUI rate and deposit schedule.
Maine:
Acquire Maine Unemployment Insurance Account Number and Experience rate. Ensure correct setup for State Withholding.
Texas:
Obtain Texas Workforce Commission Account Number, Unemployment Tax Rate, and NAICS Code.
Washington:
Establish Washington Unified Business Identifier Number, ensure compliance with Paid Family & Medical Leave, and obtain Workers’ Compensation details.
Other states that we need to incorporate in (none at the moment, but a possibility of 2 or more!)
Other responsibilities:
Ensure all relevant information is up-to-date on Rippling, including payroll backlogs and prompt responses to Rippling queries.
This will involve contacting Rippling support via email and phone for any necessary clarifications or updates.
Making sure we are aligned with other onboarding pain points (setting up Dialpad, Salesforce, other SaaS for our new employees).

Serving as the main point of contact for Salesforce and Dialpad ticket issues.
Working hours: 12:00 am – 8:00 am (Philippine Time), Tuesdays to Saturdays.
Set Up: Hybrid. Work from home 4 days a week / meet with Amanda in Muntinlupa (7:00 am in a coffee shop) once a week.
Equipment: You have your own laptop, and internet connection. We will be providing you with a Dialpad number so you can call these different agencies.
Requirements:
Experience with multi-state incorporation processes and coordinating with state agencies.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
Availability to work night the shift in the Philippines.
Project Duration: 2 months (with potential for earlier completion)
Compensation: $175 paid weekly, no other benefits. Note that Philippine banks charge incoming international wire fees.
Note: You will be reporting to Amanda, the Head of Operations for this role.
