We are seeking a talented Proposal Specialist to support business development pursuits and marketing initiatives that reflect our Firm’s reputation for inspired thinking. You will join a national M+BD Team and work closely with our Principals and Senior Leadership across our industry sectors (Public | Transportation | Healthcare | Workplace | Senior Living | Industrial | Commercial | Education, Recreation, Culture | DND-DCC | Energy). Your primary role on our team will be to lead the creation and delivery of high-calibre proposals that continue to enhance our brand and assist Kasian in winning work. Often working to tight deadlines, you will regularly facilitate proposal planning meetings, review RFP documentation, as well as write and project manage various forms of proposal content. In addition, you would participate in the day-to-day marketing responsibilities and initiatives to foster continued growth in our industry.
While being in or near one of our 7 major city center locations is an asset, it is not a requirement to become a part of our team. How YOU will grow with us:
- Responsible for reviewing and interpreting RFP and RFQ documents and determining requirements for successful proposal submission – from Kick-off meeting to final submission.
- Develop persuasive proposals with tailored content and impeccable design.
- Write, proofread, edit, and format proposal content which may include adapting existing content, and boilerplates to ensure a cohesive proposal. Conduct quality assurance checks on proposals and marketing materials.
- Assist in identifying relevant opportunities aligned with the firm’s portfolio.
- Coordinate proposal kick-off meetings to determine deliverables and deadlines as required. Liaise as required with the Proposal Champion regarding proposal deliverables.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Work closely with our technical staff and Leadership to translate visions into compelling messages that convey Kasian’s strengths and differentiating approach.
- Assist in maintaining proposal resources including a database of supporting material such as boilerplate content, executive summaries, project descriptions and resumes.
- Produce proposals in Adobe Creative Suite which includes InDesign and other applications.
YOUR unique qualities:
- Minimum 5 years of proposal management experience (experience in architecture and/or interior design is advantageous).
- Strong written communication and design fundamentals. This will include a high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite as well as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Being a natural self-starter with the ability to prioritize, self-schedule, meet tight deadlines and work with colleagues from various departments, market sectors, and locations.
- A Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or Design is an asset but not a requirement.
- Prior experience in the architectural and/or interior design, engineering, or construction (AEC) field preferred, professional services experience
