Job Description

Capgemini is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Rate Change Implementer Sr. to join our team to work for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.

In this role, the team member will work specifically with the following products: Homeowners, Mobile Home, motorcycle/off-road vehicle, motorhome, marine and travel trailers. They will be a cross-function member of the team, that will be responsible for loading, testing, preparations of Product Change Request, validation, and troubleshooting. In this role, the team member runs their own mini-projects and are responsible for adhering to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Provides detailed procedural rate and rule implementation advice to internal clients to ensure adherence to internal standards. Analyzes product and rate change requests for accuracy and ensures changes are consistent with request, made in a timely fashion and all technical requirements are included.
  • Responsible for verifying proposed product changes are compatible with current production loadings.
  • Determines which system tables require updates to accommodate requested product changes and if updates are needed. Verifies table change requests and coordinates changes with Tables Management Develop simple business cases for defined projects in rate change process, determine potential benefits, clarify the rational for investment and supports the planning process. Completes systems analysis to determine proper loading of changes and loads rates and forms from product change request into appropriate rating system.
  • Assists with the conceptual design of system rating tables. Collaborates with product specialists in all relevant area of expertise to ensure that the rate and product changes under development are built and delivered in an integrated fashion.
  • Performs and coordinates actual testing in appropriate testing region, rate engine and/or platforms to verify that requested changes function correctly. Verifies accuracy of calculated premiums.
  • Reviews printed test policies including forms, rates, and applicable rules for accuracy. Debugs rate changes, test cases and policies to ensure accurate change implementation. Coordinates testing and migration dates with outside vendors when programming changes are required and/or are part of a corporate release.
  • Create process recovery documents and participates in process recoveries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
