Our Values ⭐️ We obsess over our customers. ⭐️ We help each other. ⭐️ We embrace diversity. ⭐️ We find better ways. ⭐️ We get things done. ⭐️ We own it.

As the Regulatory Compliance Analyst, you will own various aspects of Versapay’s compliance and enterprise risk management operations, to ensure the company is appropriately identifying, tracking and managing risk and meeting its obligations arising under applicable law, contracts, card brand rules, and other regulations. As a key member of Versapay’s cross-functional Compliance Management Team, you will also help to grow the compliance and risk management programs and help create a “compliance by design” culture.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-directed and organized person who is also a strong team player. You’ll have the chance to immediately build and scale compliance and risk management programs. This position will have significant support from the existing Compliance Management Team, but it also offers leadership opportunities and the chance to take ownership of ongoing projects and programs.
Reporting to the Director of Compliance and serving on the Compliance Management Team, you will assist in various compliance and risk management projects including help managing the risk register, lead internal and external compliance audits, and manage the company’s compliance policies and procedures, all while liaising with various department leaders. You will collaborate closely with Versapay’s General Counsel, Director of Compliance, Chief Information Security Officer, VP of IT, and other senior product and customer service team leaders to ensure that Versapay is meeting appropriately managing enterprise risk and ensure compliance with obligations arising from applicable law, contract, card brand rules, and other regulations.
To be successful in this role, you’ll likely need an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of experience in compliance, legal, risk management, audit, or project management functions. Familiarity with the payments industry (including payment network rules), PCI-DSS, audits (internal and external), or AML/KYC are a plus.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage Audits: prioritize, manage, and help complete operational and compliance audits from financial institution partners, processors and card brands; assist with internal operational and compliance audits
  • Compliance Policy Management: Help generate, update, and manage Versapay’s compliance and risk management policies and procedures
  • Payments Compliance: cross-train with the Payments Compliance team to assist with merchant-facing compliance matters
  • Visibility and Thought Leadership: Bring visibility to the compliance and risk management functions; Educate teams on risk and compliance requirements; help create an environment of “compliance by design” such that all teams engage with compliance early and often
  • Report on progress: Manage and report on compliance and risk management projects, audits, and other matters on the compliance calendar

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Follow through: Strong prioritization and organization. Can work independently and push others to perform to bring all assigned work to completion with speed and accuracy.
  • Strategic thinking: Sees beyond the day-to-day grind to help meet risk and compliance goals.
  • Collaboration: Assertive with respect and humility—able to lead change in a positive way. Maintains high standards for verbal and written communication, and always professional under pressure whether engaging with clients or colleagues.
  • Agility: Able to seamlessly alternate between various tasks and roll with the punches when things change.
  • Platform/tools expertise: Knowledge of platforms like Salesforce.com and Jira would be helpful.

All of our Veeps live out our core values: We look for excellence: individuals that are better than we are and not only meet our values but bring value to our teams.
Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. Think you have what it takes, but not sure you check every box? Apply to the role anyways. We’d love to talk and determine together whether you could be a great fit!
We are committed to providing an environment that is inclusive and accessible. Versapay is an equal opportunity employer and considers all applicants for employment without discrimination.
