Your future contribution:

As a SAP S/4HANA Engineer at HomeToGo, you will be responsible for building scalable and automated SAP solutions for our business operations in order to solve business challenges and directly contribute to the overall company performance. As our business is constantly growing and evolving, we need a responsible person who understands the utility of standard SAP solutions and the value of innovation in focus areas. Today, SAP supports our basic accounting processes and we want to grow SAP further in the future – end-to-end revenue chain management, integration and advanced automations. 

You will join a team of experienced product managers and software architects, administrators and engineers managing SAP, Salesforce and HomeToGo Solutions. Team members share a common understanding of a team being greater than the sum of its members – through alignment and autonomy, great interpersonal collaboration and continuous development and learning.

How you’ll add value:

  • Within 3 months you will learn about the structure and best practices within the team, about HomeToGo’s business and systems landscape; you will support ongoing SAP initiatives on daily bases with:
    • Configuration and authorisation management
    • Troubleshooting / problem analysis / debugging
    • Unit / integration/ automated testing
    • Deployments
  • Within the first 6 months, you will takeover and move forward initiatives in the following areas:
    • Work with our external partner and internal team to:
      • Create/maintain data definitions (New/existing fields, new/existing CDS views)
      • Create/maintain API integrations (BTP)
      • Ensure flawless integration of new changes into our environment
    • Create automated unit/integration/user tests of SAP changes
    • Create and maintain technical documentation
    • Create/maintain alerting and control (Background jobs related)
    • Create/maintain printouts (Invoices, credit notes, contracts…)
    • Execute security controls and support (Financial and IT) audit compliance
  • Within the first 9 months you will understand and drive forward the engineering efforts behind integrating complex processes into the  HomeToGo landscape
  • After 12 months you will join cross-functional projects critical to the success of HomeToGo, integrating new technologies into the HomeToGo tech ecosystem.

You’ll be successful in this role if you:

  • Have relevant SAP experience, ideally HANA Cloud Administration or Development
  • Have excellent skills in maintaining security settings, apps, custom objects and fields, reports and dashboards, deploying changes through environments
  • Have excellent understanding of SAP architecture and are able to debug hard production problems
  • Have a good understanding of BTP technology (ability to maintain & expand them is a big plus)
  • Possess effective communication skills
  • SAP certificate is a strong plus
