Job Purpose and Overview
Appfire is seeking an experienced full-time Senior Data Analyst!
In this role, you will be a key player in activating our company-wide data in new and impactful ways. You’ll be at the forefront of designing, conducting, and presenting data-driven analyses that enhance decision-making capabilities across Appfire.
You will be part of Appfire’s central data insights team, providing data and analytics partnerships to support our strategic pillars. You’ll dive deep into our data to help answer questions at the heart of our company’s growth:
- What metrics signify customer value?
- Who are our customers, and how do they engage?
- How should Appfire view our business, partners, and products?
- What metrics bring teams together across a common purpose?
- What new value can be uncovered from newly wrangled datasets?
You will be a thought partner for these and other initiatives, leveraging your advanced data analysis skills and business partnerships to scale data-informed and insight-led decisions at all levels.
What You Will Do
- Develop expertise in our decision ecosystem, metrics, data, and business processes.
- Analyze business performance drivers to help steer Appfire towards its north star goals across functions.
- Conduct deep dive and exploratory analyses to evolve how Appfire views its business.
What We Would Like to See
- 5+ years of experience manipulating and drawing insights from data.
- Strong experience with SQL required.
- Proven experience with data exploration and visualization, leveraging tools such as Tableau, Sisense, Google Sheets, Excel, Sigma, or similar platforms.
- Experience understanding complex software products, B2B buyer journeys, partner ecosystems, and hybrid revenue models.
- Ability to understand the true purpose and impact of decisions through analysis, conducting follow-ups to ensure goals are achieved.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to dive deep or wide to discover new opportunities and recommendations.
- Experience presenting analyses through written and verbal mediums, partnering across a range of audiences (from individual contributors to senior executives).
- High standards for your work with the ability to excel in a global work-from-home company.
- Ability to prioritize, self-manage, and work independently, meeting tight deadlines within a startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comfortable with Python/R.
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Prior experience with Customer Lifetime Value analysis.
