The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help oversee our client databases, data pipelines and ETL workflows. You will have the opportunity to drive the automation of processes, data architecture design, and enforce data governance best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Architecture Design: Create and implement data architecture solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals, ensuring they are scalable, flexible, and efficient.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with development and business teams to ensure data architecture solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • ETL Management: Oversee the data warehouse ETL processes, ensuring data is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded in a consistent and reliable manner.
  • Integration Management: Manage and establish integrations with third-party applications, both on-premises and cloud-based, using various methods (APIs, ODBC, stored procedures, etc.).
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor data usage patterns to identify and implement opportunities for optimization and performance improvements.
  • Data Security: Ensure data security and privacy by implementing robust access controls, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Data Quality Improvement: Analyze and resolve data quality issues, implementing strategies to enhance data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Governance & Compliance: Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Database Management: Maintain and secure SQL databases, ensuring they remain reliable, performant, and secure.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, recommending improvements to enhance data management processes.

  • Production experience on Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure)
  • Data Modeling and Warehousing Tools and Techniques
