About the Senior DevSecOps Engineer
As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our mission-critical systems. Your primary responsibilities will include deploying, managing, and troubleshooting applications and infrastructure on AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for deployed applications and infrastructure on AWS, AWS GovCloud, and third-party hosting.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and containerized applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for deployment and operations.
- Administer tools and services essential to development and operations.
- Monitor system performance and implement enhancements as needed.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Provide on-call support as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 5 equivalent years of experience.
- Proven experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.
- Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, including cluster setup, management, troubleshooting, and helm charts.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a defense or aerospace environment.
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).
- Active Secret Military Clearance (Not Required)

Salary Range: $155,000-$175,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, skills, and other factors.
