Summary

We are looking for a Senior Golang Engineer. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing scalable, robust and high-quality solutions. As an engineer you are a professional with several years of hands-on experience, possessing senior technical skills and in-depth knowledge. You excel in problem-solving, effective communication, guiding and mentoring other engineers, making critical technical decisions, and contributing to the strategic direction of projects.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study.

Professional Experience

• At least 5 years of demonstrable experience delivering code into production cloud applications in a team environment.

Soft Skills

• Mid to Advanced English level.
• Open to learning new technologies.
• Great communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• An innate desire to work on difficult problems and learn new systems.

Required Skills

• 3 – 4 years of experience working with Golang.
• Production experience with Ruby on Rails highly desirable.
• Experience working with secured APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc).
• Cloud computing experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).
• Solid understanding of the architecture of database-backed web applications, including web process architectures, threading, ORMs.
• Basic understanding of system administration in a Linux, Apache, MySQL environment.
• Understanding of relational databases and knowledge of SQL.
• Exposure to the basics of Enterprise-class product development: comfort with process and tools including bug tracking, IDE’s, compilers, debuggers, profilers, version control systems, code coverage tools, automated testing tools, usability.
• Intrinsic motivation: you fix things because they are broken and need fixing.

Nice to Have skills

• Production experience with at least one interpreted language like Ruby or Python.
