Senior Manager, Training & Enablement

We are looking for a mission-driven and highly motivated team member who shares our passion and vision to simplify access to high-quality, affordable mental healthcare, and is excited by the entrepreneurial challenges of supporting the scale of a rapidly growing operation. Our teams support providers in navigating mental health billing and insurance – a complicated and oftentimes ambiguous space. Because of this, our Core Operations teams require a technical, intentionally paced, and strategic approach to internal onboarding and continued education so that we can bring simplicity to complex topics while upholding excellent operating standards.

As a Senior Manager of Training & Enablement on the Core Operations team, you will play a critical role in driving the strategy and execution of how we achieve organizational effectiveness. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the program design and delivery of onboarding and continued education tailored specifically to the Core Operations team, lead the development of Quality Assurance (QA) systems to coach up our team, and own the knowledge management strategy to keep the team educated on product and policy changes. 

You will partner closely with Operations leadership, Customer Success, and the People & Culture team to execute on coordinated and consistent enablement strategies across the company. 

The ideal candidate has a strong sense of ownership, a bias towards action, thrives in ambiguous situations, and skillfully identifies and removes blockers to keep the momentum of their work to drive impact for the team. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Partner with Operations leadership to up-level training for existing workflows, establish norms for how to design training programs for future workflows, and flexibly utilize tooling that ranges from Google Sheets, docs, and slides to Alma’s formal Learning Management System, depending on the learning needs of the team. 
  • Use adult learning principles and creativity to design and facilitate onboarding and training programs, micro-learning, learning assessments, and surveys for new and existing team members that support diverse audiences and different leadership levels. 
  • Develop a QA program with a focus on impact and success metrics to determine achieved learning outcomes of the team and enhance organizational effectiveness.  
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on the organizational design of the Core Operations Training & Enablement team, leading to the hiring and future management of direct reports that will help execute the Training & Enablement strategy. 
  • Motivate, lead, and develop the team to embrace a strong learning culture, owning the knowledge management strategy and supporting other learning projects across the Operations team as needed.

Who you are:

  • You have 6-8 years of work experience in an education, instructional design, learning & development, or organizational development role. Start-up, operations, or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required. 
  • You have experience with content management software and learning management software such as Guru, Docebo, and Articulate 360 and have a track record of being an early adopter of tech tools to drive innovative solutions for your team.
  • You are relentlessly organized with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional project management skills.

  • You enjoy managing, motivating, and developing the skills and growth of not just direct reports but your team at large.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal communication skills and can easily translate complex and technical details into actionable and digestible information for learners.

Salary Band: $125,000 – $155,000
