About this role
As a Senior Product Designer at Modak, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, tech, and growth, to create intuitive and engaging products that meet the unique needs of our teen users. The ideal candidate will have a passion for user-centered design, a strong empathy for our users, and the ability to create usable, appealing and accessible interfaces.

What You’ll Do

Lead the end-to-end design process for new features and product enhancements, from initial concept to final implementation.

Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on existing features.

Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate design concepts and interactions effectively.

Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of design solutions.

Advocate for user-centered design principles, ensuring that the needs and preferences of teenage users are at the forefront of the design process.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product design and user experience to continuously improve Modak’s design standards.

Mentor and provide guidance to other designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture within the organization.

Qualifications

Solid experience (at least 4 years) working as a product designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in user interface and visual design.

Experience designing for mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and responsive web applications.

Proficiency in design and prototyping in Figma.

Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.

Ability to conduct user research, gather insights, and translate them into meaningful design solutions.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design decisions to cross-functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications:
Proficient in the use of no-code tools like Webflow.

Familiarity with gamification and behavioral psychology principles to drive engagement and motivation among teenage users.

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles to facilitate collaboration with engineers.

Experience with motion design and animation to enhance user interactions and animations.
