Job Description

Obility is looking for a senior SEO manager who will join our SEO and content team. The senior SEO manager’s responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and presenting SEO strategies to B2B clients, including keyword research, technical recommendations, competitive analysis, and quarterly reports
  • Driving SEO success for clients by identifying proactive initiatives, analyzing and reporting on the success of past initiatives, and creating a long-term SEO roadmap
  • Creating advanced content strategies (i.e. content pruning, pillar content strategy, content collections or glossary creation) to fit the client’s needs and objectives
  • Presenting to client contacts, including C-suite clients, and guiding them to ensure they execute your action items
  • Maintaining clients’ GA4 and Google Tag Manager instances, creating new tracking tags when necessary and troubleshooting tracking issues
  • Working with Obility customer success, paid media, and content team members to ensure SEO is integrated into the client’s overall marketing programs
  • Developing and presenting client quarterly reports that illustrate performance and progress made, with next steps and appropriate action plans based on that analysis
  • Managing the daily execution of 6-7 SEO clients, including day-to-day client communication, deliverables, reports and all research and strategy efforts pertaining to B2B client engagements
  • When applicable, working with Obility’s Strategy and Execution Director on high-touch and enterprise clients
  • When applicable, delegating tasks to supporting team members, reviewing deliverables upon completion and providing feedback
  • Contributing to Obility company marketing and growth efforts, and documenting client success via the creation of case studies

Success in this position will be demonstrated by:

  • Keeping up-to-date on SEO best practices and B2B industry trends
  • Creating long-term SEO strategies that resonate with clients and lead to SEO success
  • Working closely with Obility customer success managers to identify SEO opportunities
  • Driving SEO projects to a successful end
  • Being comfortable working with enterprise-level clients
  • Successfully communicating goals and strategies to C-suite clients

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you will have experience in crafting and developing SEO strategies, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • 5+ years in an SEO role
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to present effectively and persuasively to both internal and external audiences
  • Great attention to detail with a track record of strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working well in teams
  • Experience with SEO tools such as SEMRush, Moz, Screaming Frog, Keyword Keg
  • Strong understanding of technical and content SEO best practices and ability to solve or provide solutions to advanced technical issues such as indexation issues, hreflang tags, or page speed
  • Understanding of and experience with analytics platforms such GA4, Looker and Google Tag Manager
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets
  • Past experience working at an agency
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Eloqua) and/or CRM systems (Salesforce, MS Dynamics)
  • Understanding of content management systems, particularly WordPress
  • Past work with B2B clients and an understanding of the B2B sales funnel
  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and creating large reports
