Position: Senior Software Engineer
Work Hours: Mondays to Fridays – 7 AM to 5 PM CST / 9 pm – 7 am Philippine Time
Holidays: Philippine Holidays
Pay Range: 1800-2200 USD / month
About the role:
The Senior Software Engineer will begin their journey by working directly with the CEO to complete a backlog of top-priority eCommerce features for the company’s Shopify site. After that, they’ll move to integrated application development across ERP, CRM, and pricing functions. Internally, we refer to our backend applications as “the business loop”. The technical stack at includes NodeJS, Vue3, and SQL.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with the CEO to triage and complete backlog tasks
Develop software using your preferred editor, Git for version control, and GitHub for team collaboration and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
Utilize Jira for managing projects
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, and system administrators.
Requirements
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Direct development experience with Shopify – both theme and app development using Shopify’s latest tools and frameworks.
- Proficient abilities in UX/interaction design, responsible for constructing, sustaining, and ensuring alignment with guide and pattern library
- Familiarity with software development tools and concepts, encompassing Git, testing, CI/CD, containers, development tools, and related areas
- Good problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
Nice-to-Have:
- Proficiency in employing JavaScript frameworks that are reactive and component-driven, with a strong preference for Vue3
- Experience building Shopify applications (Admin and Storefront APIs + GraphQL
- Experience across varying CSS architectures, DOM APIs, and web performance.
