Job Description

About the team/role

Checkr is looking for a Sr. Solutions Marketing Manager who will help us reach our customer acquisition and expansion goals by supporting strategic deals with customer-tailored content, and by driving content creation, field enablement, thought leadership and market research for high-priority audiences.

In addition, this role will drive other content creation and research projects as needs arise, including competitive research and enablement, and content for executive presentations to large audiences both internally and externally. What all these projects have in common is that we are tailoring the Checkr products we highlight to particular audiences based on their needs. An audience could be, for example, companies in a certain industry, a particular buyer persona, or an individual prospective enterprise customer.

This is a role for someone who can work rapidly and productively with deal teams, who enjoys storytelling and thought leadership, who can effectively synthesize product detail into compelling articulations of value, who can conduct research to gain and share market insights, and who knows how to efficiently gather information and feedback from cross-functional teams.

The role reports directly to our VP, Product & Customer Marketing. The role joins our recently-hired Solutions Marketing Lead in building out a successful Solutions Marketing practice at Checkr. The successful candidate for this role will bring a strong background in solutions marketing, sales enablement, product marketing and/or industry marketing in B2B technology companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly support sales conversations with selected individual enterprise customers via customer-tailored content, presentations, talking points, RFP responses, and research, to maximize win rate and contract value
  • Create positioning, customer-facing sales presentations, collateral and web content for chosen high-priority audiences, such as industries, buyer personas
  • Train customer-facing teams on our packaged solutions for key customer customer segments; gather continuous feedback from field teams on their experience selling these solutions
  • Conduct market research with focus on key industries, personas or competitors, and share resulting insights to influence go-to-market decisions
  • Author thought leadership content for large internal and external audiences, in the form of presentations, blog posts, contributed articles, etc.
  • Contribute content for selected events, conferences and account-based marketing campaigns
  • Work with other marketers to drive programs and campaigns aimed at chosen industries or buyer personas, advising on strategy and contributing content
  • Speak at industry and trade events

What you bring:

  • 5-7 years of B2B marketing experience in solutions marketing, sales enablement, product marketing or industry marketing in technology companies with multiple product offerings
  • Fast-moving and highly responsive to changing needs, with a strong drive to help sales teams win strategic deals with major accounts
  • Expert creator of customer-facing sales materials, both with and without the help of internal design teams and/or creative agencies
  • Natural storytelling skills with a gift for writing and the ability to create engaging content that speaks to customer pain points
  • Market research and data analysis skills, both in conducting research directly via customer interviews and survey deployment, and in working with third-party research firms
  • Strong listening skills and customer empathy, with the ability to efficiently gather, synthesize and incorporate feedback from multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven self-starter with a bias for action and a positive can-do attitude
  • Comfortable speaking to large audiences with a strong stage presence
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced work environments, juggle multiple initiatives successfully and show adeptness at leveraging data to inform recommendations

What you’ll get:

  • A fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Learning and development allowance
  • Competitive compensation and opportunity for advancement
  • 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Up to $25K reimbursement for fertility, adoption, and parental planning services
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Monthly wellness stipend, home office stipend
