DESCRIPTION
As a Structural Engineer, you will work on complex building projects and develop innovative, practical solutions to various building structural design work for Project Managers, Architects, and Designers. In this role, you will perform design and analysis as well as other structural engineering tasks for building systems and components, along with non-building framing components. The successful candidate will also coach and mentor junior engineers, EIT’s, and design associates on engineering solutions, and provide guidance to BIM designers.
• Perform complex structural analysis and prepare design calculations for building and non-building projects.
• Provide clear redlines and details for EIT’s and BIM designers.
• High proficiency in Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat PDF, and MS Teams.
• Provide engineering and project support to the Designer of Record (DOR)
• Assist and check design calculations performed by others.
• Ability to handle multiple projects – at least 2 to 3 – at different phases of design.
• Must be able to adapt to MBI project standards and team protocols.
• Establish and maintain corporate relationships with all employees, clients, and other stakeholders.
- This is a remote position.
*Daily check-in with Technical Manager.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Master’s degree preferred.
- Must have 5 – 7 years of structural engineering experience.
• P.E. or S.E. license is required in AZ, CO, UT, CA, ID or the ability to obtain.
• Proficiency with RAM SS, RISA 3D, Tekla Structural Designer (TSD), Revit, Enercalc, Microsoft Excel, MS Office Suite.
• Familiar with structural design codes such as the IBC, ASCE 7, ASCE 41, AISC, TMS and ACI.
• Familiar with design and detailing requirements of Seismic Design Category C and above (Moderate to High Seismic) is a plus.
• Experience with UFC and UFGS Facilities Criteria is a plus.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Possess the ability to work collaboratively with other interfacing multi-disciplinary team members (i.e., managers, electrical and mechanical engineers, and architects).
• Demonstrated administrative, organizational, and self-management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Available for periodic travel to project sites and different office locations.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $72,000 – $125,000 per year. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
