Position Summary

As an Account Manager, your role focuses on enhancing client engagement and nurturing key client relationships. You’ll be pivotal in understanding and addressing client needs, ensuring their satisfaction, and fostering long-lasting relationships. This position blends client engagement with technical acumen and project coordination skills.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

The Account Manager is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their objectives, requirements, and expectations.
  • Work closely with our technical teams, including solutions architects and engineers, to design and propose solutions aligned with the client’s technical needs and project objectives.
  • Cultivate strong, enduring relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor for all AccelByte solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between clients and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and that client needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with clients to collect and document their technical requirements, ensuring alignment with our capabilities and offerings.
  • Manage and coordinate projects, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
  • Maintain regular and clear communication with clients, providing updates on project progress, technical advancements, and industry trends.
  • Address client concerns or technical issues promptly, collaborating with technical teams to find effective solutions.
  • Lead contract renewals and negotiations to establish long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Bachelors or relevant work experience or certification/courses.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Account Manager or in a client-facing role within the gaming or technology industry, with a focus on strategic client engagement.
  • Advanced experience in core game development concepts, including milestone definition, industry-standard KPIs, and Metrics.
  • Advanced experience in CRM (contact, pipeline management, and actively maintaining good CRM hygiene)
  • Advanced experience in engaging in regular communications, managing expectations, and providing transparency to clients.
  • Advance experience in AccelByte products and services or similar.
  • Advanced experience in Account Planning or Project Management.
  • Advanced experience in collaborating and partnering with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies.
  • Basic experience in mentoring, managing, and setting the direction for others.
  • Profound understanding of gaming backend technologies and software solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills at a strategic level.
  • A high level of technical aptitude and the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts with ease.
  • A deeply rooted customer-centric mindset combined with a passion for consistently delivering exceptional client experiences.
  • Advanced problem-solving and negotiation abilities at a strategic level.
  • Advanced project management skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives.
  • Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English language.
  • Flexibility to adjust to work routines/schedules, as required, to meet the needs of the company and the expectations of customers.
