Job Description

At Shoreline, we aim to develop satisfying and compelling software experiences for our users, drawing on user research results and product insights. As we scale the team, we’re looking for a designer with expertise and strong skills in UX design, prototyping, user flows, and usability testing. The right candidate will be comfortable in a fast-moving organization, collaborating closely with other UX and product experts, engineers, stakeholders, and users.

  • UI design: Combine UX thinking with design execution, to produce usable and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Prototyping: Develop mockups and interactive prototypes around user needs that clearly illustrate functionality and aesthetics.
  • Creative problem-solving: Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, accessibility, etc.)
  • Usability testing: Collaborate with UX and product specialists to conduct design adjustments based on insights, assessing solutions and flows using a mix of techniques.
  • Cross-department collaboration: Collaborate with other UX and product experts, engineers, stakeholders, and users.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot UX challenges.
  • Conceptualisation: Prepare and present design ideas using storyboards, process flows, sitemaps, and rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Competitors and trends: Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends.
  • User knowledge: Develop a deep empathic understanding of users, learn about their needs, and identify gaps.
  • Evangelism: Communicate and advocate for actionable insights in a clear and compelling way.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in Figma.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing.
  • Proven work experience as a UX Designer.
  • Experience with usability testing.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
