Staff Scientist - Pediatric and Young Adult Cancer Cell Therapy

The Goldberg Lab for Pediatric and Young Adult Cancer Cell Therapy at City of Hope is seeking a highly motivated Staff Scientist to join our research program in cancer immunotherapy. Our research focuses on solid and hematological malignancies, the tumor microenvironment, CAR T-cell therapy, and immunometabolism, with the goal of developing novel therapies for pediatric and young adult cancer patients.  You will lead independent and collaborative projects and contribute to high-impact publications and translational research.

As a successful candidate you will:

• Perform cell culture, lentiviral transduction, and molecular biology experiments.
• Conduct multi-color flow cytometry and data analysis.
• Perform in vivo studies using mouse models.
• Analyze data, prepare manuscripts and grant applications, and present research findings.

Your qualifications should include:

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Hematology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with cell culture, lentiviral transduction, flow cytometry, molecular biology (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9, qPCR, Western blotting), and mouse studies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and scientific writing skills.
• Experience with patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models and cancer immunotherapy.
