Custodial Worker

Job Description
As a Custodial Worker at the Exchange, you’ll be responsible for making sure our facilities and restrooms are cleaned and sanitized. You’ll also benefit from having basic knowledge of common cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment. Attention to detail is important, as you will help gauge supply stock levels and will troubleshoot for minor issues. If you are a highly motivated individual that prides themselves on completing tasks, this position is for you! You’ll be able to have your independence, while still working on a team.

So what can you expect as a Custodial Worker associate at the Exchange?

• Use time management skills and attention to detail to ensure the timely and professional completion of daily responsibilities.
• Demonstrate initiative through regularly monitoring restrooms for cleanliness and keeping them successfully maintained in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.
• Properly organize, utilize, clean and maintain janitorial equipment and supplies.
• Safely handle various cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
• Greet every customer you meet with eye contact and an authentic smile.

• Excellent attention to detail
• Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed
• Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members
• Excellent communication skills
• Custodial experience preferred

Education: Elementary school. Creditable job-related experience maybe substituted for the education requirement on a 9 months for 9 months basis.
