Materials Handler II

"APPLICANTS/ASSOCIATES TENTATIVELY SELECTED FOR A TDP WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TO URINALYSIS TO SCREEN FOR ILLEGAL DRUG USE PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT/SELECTION."

Under general supervision at a warehouse management system (WMS) distribution center, performs a variety of skilled warehousing duties in either receiving, storage, order selection or shipping. Will use a VDT/PC to perform select computer applications or determine data available from inquiry screens. May use a forklift, pallet jack or other materials handling equipment (MHE) to include conveyors. Assists in the training and development of associates.

Education: Completion of high school or the equivalent. Creditable job-related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a 9-months for 9-months basis. Experience: Six months progressively responsible general experience plus a minimum of six months specialized experience in receiving, storing or shipping merchandise and processing documents in a mechanized distribution center. Operation of MHE or motor vehicles is subject to prescribed licensing requirements.


If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting. MONDAY - FRIDAY 0630 - 1530 (3:30PM)


Must have the ability to work with others, Team work and team building. (Motivation with a positive attitude.) Must be able quickly and adjust to changes in in priorities in the work place throughout the storage operation. Must be able to communicate clearly and follow instructions on the tasks that are given in order to be organized quickly.
