Materials Handler II

"APPLICANTS/ASSOCIATES TENTATIVELY SELECTED FOR A TDP WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TO URINALYSIS TO SCREEN FOR ILLEGAL DRUG USE PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT/SELECTION."


Under general supervision at a warehouse management system (WMS) distribution center, performs a variety of skilled warehousing duties in either receiving, storage, order selection or shipping. Will use a VDT/PC to perform select computer applications or determine data available from inquiry screens. May use a forklift, pallet jack or other materials handling equipment (MHE) to include conveyors. Assists in the training and development of associates.

Education: Completion of high school or the equivalent. Creditable job-related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a 9-months for 9-months basis. Experience: Six months progressively responsible general experience plus a minimum of six months specialized experience in receiving, storing or shipping merchandise and processing documents in a mechanized distribution center. Operation of MHE or motor vehicles is subject to prescribed licensing requirements.


If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting. MONDAY-FRIDAY 0630-1530. SOME OT MAY VARY DEPENDING ON FACILITY NEEDS.
 

Must be able to complete and obtain Material Handler Equipment license as the requirement for this shift and this position.

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally 70 pounds in order to consolidate replenishments, using RF scanning device is required.

Ability to learn JDA Warehouse management System and RMDS to Profile and rotate warehouse items in accordance with standard operating procedures, and/or guidance from supervisor. To develop the skills necessary to re-warehouse and consolidate merchandise from location to location for space utilization.
