Senior Public Affairs Manager

Oversees and coordinates the development of corporate responses to media and customer inquiries and crisis communication. Provides public affairs consulting/guidance to business partners.

Six years of experience in public affairs/relations, communications, or journalism is required. One year of experience at the pay band 4-2/4-3 level or equivalent industry experience is required.

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience in public affairs/relations, communications, or journalism is required. One year of experience at the pay band 4-2/4-3 level or equivalent industry experience is required.

Oversees and responds to media inquiries within established time frame. Relies on crisis communication expertise to ensure the Exchange is positively portrayed.
Oversees and provides guidance on various types of responses including, but not limited to, customer relations, social media, and executive responses to improve awareness, perception, knowledge, and understanding of the Exchange mission, benefits, and contribution to Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR).
Directs corporate response guidance for Exchange general managers, social media managers, and corporate-facing websites to accurately reflect Exchange programs, policies, and relevance.
Oversees proactive program/event-oriented communication to military and industry media.
Performs other duties as assigned.
