As the Associate Marketing Director, you will lead overall brand strategic direction to deliver sales, market share, and P&L versus target. You will develop, coach and supervise direct reports to ensure effective planning and execution of marketing plans and activities, while strengthening and growing the Nutrition business by designing and implementing business strategies and inspiring the team to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Provide Sales and Marketing team with leadership and direction to achieve the overall sales, profit and market share position of the Nutrition business.
- →Create brand NPI roadmap and align with Management/AREA team.
- →Lead and develop marketing objectives, strategies, annual marketing and sales plans in coordination with marketing/product managers and ensure their execution.
- →Develop and maintain rapport with key opinion leaders in the market to identify trends, competitor activities and new business opportunities. Monitor competitive market situation and take actions to grow market share.
- →Develop, motivate and challenge team members to achieve superior performance. Support employees in implementation of their growth plans. Develop and maintain succession plans and proactively address future staffing needs.
- →Closely monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure resources are spent in line with business plan commitments.
- →Ensure all company activities are conducted within the framework of the Abbott Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
- →Guide the team by identifying and understanding issues, problems and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; and taking action consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences.
- →Establish ongoing procedures for tracking key performance indicators aligned with the annual plan to secure business performance and proactively drive action plans.
- →Guide and coach the team on business direction for both Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Ethical channels, ensuring work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- →Lead teams across Marketing, Trade Marketing, COMMEX and Ethical functions to successfully drive marketing agendas and business priorities, including competitor counteraction plans, market share defense plans and recommendation share improvement initiatives.
Requirements
~1 min read- Tertiary qualifications in a Business or Science discipline or equivalent.
- Strong marketing and sales track record of more than 10 years in the pharmaceutical or nutritional industry.
- Good understanding of marketing-related principles and comprehensive industry knowledge.
- Strong decision-making capability with the ability to identify and evaluate issues, opportunities and solutions.
- Experience monitoring business performance through key performance indicators and strategic planning.
- Strong planning and organizing skills.
- Flexible in digital transformation and able to embrace change in dynamic environments.
- Adaptability to varying environments, responsibilities and business priorities.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to build partnerships and lead cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach to achieving business goals.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to generate creative solutions to business challenges.
- High integrity and commitment to maintaining ethical and organizational standards.
