Absolute Pets is a growing Pet Care Retailer and is looking for a Finance Clerk, with a focus on being an all-rounder within the finance team.

Responsibilities

Process supplier invoices accurately and on time.
Prepare supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies or queries promptly.
Report account status and follow up on month-end invoices and statements to meet retail calendar deadlines.

Assist with weekly ticket clearing to support reporting timelines, including:
- Reallocate tender errors in IQ, including cash and card transactions.
- Obtain and validate documentation for card sales and sundry transactions.

Provide general finance and administrative support as required.

Requirements

1 to 3 years’ experience in a finance role
Diploma in Bookkeeping or equivalent
Strong accounting knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft suite
Good Excel skills with the ability to use VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, suppliers, and landlords.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, deadline driven, and trustworthy.
A respectful team player who is self-motivated and willing to support others.
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to take on challenges, solve problems, and learn new skills.
