The Licensing Associate Manager is a people leader within Accenture’s delivery organization supporting Microsoft’s Renewals Center of Excellence (RCOE). This role leads a team of Licensing Associates responsible for delivering high-quality, compliant Microsoft licensing guidance in support of commercial renewals and modernization motions.
The role combines deep Microsoft licensing expertise, strong people leadership, and operational excellence, partnering closely with Microsoft Commercial Executives, renewal specialists, and internal operations teams. The Licensing Associate Manager is accountable for team performance, licensing quality, and continuous evolution of the licensing delivery model.
Responsibilities
~1 min readLead, coach, and manage a team of Licensing Associates aligned to defined service models and performance expectations
Own hiring, onboarding, readiness, and career progression plans for team members
Establish clear role clarity, productivity standards, and behavioral expectations
Provide ongoing coaching based on quality outcomes, SLA adherence, and stakeholder partnership effectiveness
Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, continuous learning, and customer-focused execution
Own end-to-end licensing quality outcomes across the team, including:
Accuracy of licensing guidance and deal constructs
Policy adherence and approval rigor
Ensure compliance with Microsoft licensing policies, operating principles, and approved tooling
Implement quality controls to reduce rework, escalations, and downstream risk
Act as an escalation point for complex or high-risk licensing scenarios
Partner with Microsoft and Accenture leadership to evolve the Licensing Associate role in line with:
New commerce and renewal motions
Portfolio modernization strategies
Policy and tooling changes
Identify systemic gaps and recurring issues; drive continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to operating model enhancements and role design for global delivery teams
Represent the licensing perspective in cross-functional forums
Own ongoing training and readiness strategy for the Licensing Associate team
Ensure continuous upskilling across Microsoft licensing programs and commercial scenarios
Drive structured development plans informed by performance and quality data
Partner with enablement teams on curriculum design and delivery
Serve as a senior licensing partner to Microsoft Commercial Executives and renewal teams
Ensure licensing guidance supports on-time renewals, revenue retention, and expansion
Translate licensing and policy complexity into clear, actionable guidance for sales stakeholders
Build trust and credibility in the licensing function across Microsoft-facing organizations

Requirements
~1 min read5+ years of experience in Microsoft commercial licensing, deal support, renewals, or sales operations
Expertise across Microsoft licensing programs such as EA/EAS/SCE, CSP/MCAE, and related frameworks
Familiarity with deal approval frameworks and complex commercial governance
Direct Commercial Executive experience preferred
High School Degree
English Level C1 (Advanced)
Proven people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
Strong understanding of Microsoft commercial motions, renewal cycles, and partner engagement models
Experience operating in highly regulated, quality-driven environments
Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups without direct authority
Background in a Center of Excellence (COE) or centralized sales operations model
Experience working in global or multi-region delivery environments
