About the Role

ActiveViam is seeking a high-performing Sales Executive to lead new business development in Singapore and across Asia.

 

You will be responsible for driving enterprise-level software sales, expanding our footprint in the region, and managing end-to-end strategic sales cycles from prospecting to close.

 

This is a hunter role aimed at sales professionals with experience selling complex enterprise software, ideally in capital markets, risk, data analytics, or high-performance computing.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Execution

  • Drive new logo acquisition in Singapore and across Asia, focusing on Tier 1 & Tier 2 banks, asset managers, insurers, and large corporates.
  • Manage full sales cycles: prospecting, qualification, scoping, proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline aligned with quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Present the ActiveViam value proposition and tailor messaging to senior stakeholders (CRO, CFO, CIO, Head of Risk, Head of Trading, Data/Analytics, Technology executives).

 

Territory & Relationship Management

  • Develop the go-to-market plan, prioritising key accounts and strategic opportunities.
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and technical teams.
  • Work closely with Customer Success to identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts.

 

Collaboration & Internal Alignment

  • Partner with Solutions Engineering, Marketing, and Product teams to deliver compelling demonstrations and solution proposals.
  • Provide market feedback to product management based on customer insights.
  • Represent ActiveViam at industry events, conferences, and market-facing engagements.

 

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Maintain structured pipeline visibility: disciplined CRM usage, accurate forecasting and regular cadence reporting to global sales leadership
  • Report on territory performance, competitive landscape, and pipeline metrics.

 

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 5-7+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, data analytics platforms, risk management systems, and financial technology.
  • Proven track record closing complex, high-value deals (six- to seven-figure ACV).
  • Experience selling to capital markets, risk departments, trading desks, investment managers is a strong advantage.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of risk analytics (FRTB, CVA/XVA, VaR liquidity risk) and willingness to rapidly learn.
  • Understanding of listed and OTC derivatives across rates, credit, FX and equity.
  • Strong understanding of the investment management and banking industry, market structure and vendors / competitors
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (both business and technical).
  • Hunter mentality: proactive, persistent, and highly self-driven.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and multi-stakeholder sales processes.
  • Fluency in English, and proficiency in Mandarin would be advantageous.

 

Other Requirements

  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Experience working in an international sales organization.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in technology or finance
  • Background selling in-memory databases, real-time analytics platforms, or risk / aggregation engines.
  • Prior experience selling into major Asian banks.
  • Understanding of regulatory drivers: FRTB, SA-CCR, IRRBB, Basel III / IV, intraday risk requirements.
