Casper Test Content Reviewer (Casual Contractor Work Remote in Australia)

If you’re based in Australia and looking for flexible, remote, on-demand contract work, this is an opportunity to apply your cultural and professional insights to help us review and strengthen Casper’s assessment content.

It’s meaningful work that helps ensure our content reflects the contexts in which it is used, while giving you the opportunity to apply your knowledge and critical thinking in a thoughtful, purposeful way.

As a Test Content Reviewer, you’ll help ensure that Casper test content is relevant and appropriate for applicants to higher education programs in Australia that use Casper in their admissions process.

You’ll review draft Casper content, including scenario ideas, video scripts, and questions, to ensure it reflects real-life situations in culturally relevant, respectful, and appropriate ways. 

Some content will specifically incorporate Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander themes and perspectives, where lived experience and cultural insight are especially valuable.

• Cultural relevance and sensitivity in the Australian context
• Respectful and authentic representation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, where applicable 
• Clarity, realism, and accessibility of language
• Appropriateness across professional and everyday settings
• Potential biases, stereotypes, or harmful representations
• Inclusive language and use of adequate context or content warnings where needed

• Flag content that may be confusing, inappropriate, or insensitive to specific communities or cultural groups
• Provide clear, written feedback to support improvements
• Collaborate asynchronously with our Content Team to clarify or expand on your input as needed

• Are currently living in Australia and have a strong understanding of the local context, culture, and communities, particularly Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander lived or professional experience
• Have excellent written communication skills in English, with the ability to provide clear, constructive, and thoughtful feedback
• Can think critically about abstract ideas, and assess content for nuance, fairness, and relevance
• Bring experience or background in areas like education, psychology, clinical training, assessment development, literature, DEI, philosophy, or similar, though it’s not required
• Have not taken the Casper test in the past two years and don’t plan to take it in the future
• Align with our mission to help programs make fair, informed admissions decisions by considering meaningful insights beyond academic metrics.

• Start Date. Work for this contract role will officially commence in January 2027. Onboarding and training will be offered ahead of this start date.
• Remote & flexible work. Choose when you work and do it from anywhere in Australia. Assignments are offered on a flexible, as-needed basis, so you can fit them around your existing commitments.
• Purposeful work. Help ensure Casper test content is culturally relevant and appropriate, supporting a fair and consistent assessment experience for applicants.
• Transparent pay. Earn $100–$300 AUD per assignment, depending on the type of content, volume of material, and level of review required. Assignments involving Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander themes may be scoped and compensated at the higher end of this range.
• Reliable payment. Get paid via bank transfer (through AirWallex) twice a month.

1. Submit Your Application. Fill out a brief form to express your interest in the role. A real human evaluates your application for potential fit. 
2. Take a Mini-Casper Test. Receive an invitation to take a shortened version of the Casper test. It’s an opportunity to demonstrate the key soft skills we’re looking for. The test takes about 25 minutes. 
3. Meet a Team Member. If you move forward, you’ll be invited to a 30-minute one-on-one video chat with a member of our Content team. This is a chance for us to verify your information, and for you to ask any questions you may have about the role, the team, or what to expect.
4. Receive & Sign Contractor Agreement. If it’s a match, we’ll make it official and send you our contract agreement to sign.

Casper is an online, open-response situational judgment test (SJT) that assesses applicants’ social intelligence and professionalism, giving admissions teams consistent insight beyond academic metrics. Applicants are presented with realistic scenarios and respond to open-ended questions in their own words, demonstrating how they reason, make judgments, and respond to complex situations.

Casper was first developed in 2004 at McMaster University’s School of Medicine, to provide admissions teams with meaningful insight beyond traditional academic measures. Since then, it has become part of the admissions process for hundreds of higher education programs worldwide.

Today, Casper is used by programs across a range of disciplines and regions. In Australia, it supports admissions across areas including medicine, initial teacher education, clinical psychology, and medical specialty training. Acuity Insights works with partners across Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia.

While Casper has deep roots in medical and health sciences, it is also used across disciplines such as business, engineering, law, and teacher education by programs looking for consistent, evidence-based insight into applicants beyond academic metrics.
