Responsibilities

As an RN On-Call Nurse, you'll play a critical role in delivering compassionate care and support during after-hours needs by:

  • Responding to and triaging after-hours patient and family calls.
  • Assessing patient needs and coordinating appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Providing symptom management, clinical assessments, and care plan updates.
  • Collaborating with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and community resources to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Supporting patients and families through urgent situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Performing clinical pronouncements and offering compassionate support to loved ones.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
