JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-134120 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Potosi, Missouri Coverage Period: Oct 01, 2026 – Oct 08, 2026 Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Day and Night Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: Approximately 36 patients per day Case Mix: Consistent with Emergency Medicine procedures including trauma, minor care, hazmat FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 10 beds in ED Trauma Level: N/A (Critical Access Hospital) EMR System: PowerChart/PowerDocs Specialty Backup Available: Yes (OB, Radiology, Urology, and other specialties) Support Staff Available: Nursing and support staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified (BC) in Emergency Medicine or Primary Care with EM experience Licenses: Active Missouri State License DEA / CDS: Active DEA and BNDD required Certifications: ACLS required Experience: Emergency Medicine experience required Other Qualifications: CME from past 2 years, procedure logs, current immunizations (flu, Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, COVID), Quantiferon TB test or 2-Step PPD DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in the 10-bed ED, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. Manage trauma, minor care, and hazmat cases as needed. Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity. Coordinate with on-call specialists (OB, Radiology, Urology) for patient referrals. Document patient encounters in PowerChart/PowerDocs EMR and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
