JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Assistant Specialty: PA - Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Roanoke Rapids, NC Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Outpatient Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance Not Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatric Patients, All ages - 6 months and up Average Daily Volume: 40 Case Mix: Urgent Care, Adults and Peds FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff Available: Center Mgr, MA, PSA, Supervising Physician Offsite (for APP only) Reason for Coverage: Extra Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC / NCCPA / NP Boards Licenses: Active NC license DEA: Active NC DEA Certifications: BLS, PA Cert, Family NP Cert Experience: Minimum 12 months of experience required Duties & Responsibilities Serve as the sole provider in the Center, treating all patients. Perform minor procedures including I&D, Lac repair, and Ear irrigation. Utilize Epic EMR for all patient visits. Maintain a positive attitude and embody the culture of providing high-quality health care. Participate in required EMR training and onboarding prior to first solo shift.
